Susan Gasser receives "Women in Science" - Award 2012

The FMI Director Susan Gasser receives the "Women in Science" Award of the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO) and the Federation of European Biochemical Societies (FEBS). This award is distinction not only for her outstanding research on chromatin biology and epigenetics but also her commitment to mentoring women pursuing a career in science.

The award of 10'000 euros will be presented to her on September 7 at the 37th FEBS Congress in Sevilla, Spain, where she will present a plenary lecture.

The FEBS | EMBO Women in Science Award was launched in 2007 aiming to highlight the major contributions of female scientist to life sciences research and to present inspiring role models for the future generations of women in science.
