Basel Worm Meeting History
Since 1997, the BWM (Basel Worm Meeting) gives the opportunity to C. elegans communities from France, Germany, Switzerland and other countries, to meet and to present their research. In principle, the BWM is held once a year in winter or in spring. Presentations are given by 7-8 participants and two invited speakers. No registration fee is required.
Pre-2001 meetings were organised by Thomas Bürglin at the Biocenter in Basel. Since 2001, it has taken place at the Friedrich Miescher Institute, with the local co-organizers being Ruth Chiquet from 2001 to 2009 and Rafal Ciosk from 2010 to 2016.
