Ed Fischer Prize

Honoring outstanding PhD thesis
The Ed Fischer Prize is awarded annually to a student at the FMI who has performed outstanding thesis work in the previous year. The prize, which was instigated in 1992, is named after Edmond H. Fischer (1920-2021) who received the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1992 and was a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the FMI for many years.
